Peter
Schumann, President of Silver Star Ski Resort Ltd is pleased to
announce the appointment of Michael Sherwood, CGA, to the position
of General Manager, Silver Star Ski Resort Ltd, effective
immediately. Mr Sherwood takes on the role of General Manager after
spending the last eighteen months as Company Controller. Michael and
his wife, Shelley, have been residents of Peter
Schumann would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Steven
Hall, Director of Schumann Resorts and Vice President of Silver Star
Ski Resort Ltd and Big White Ski Resort Ltd for his time, energy and
enthusiasm in ensuring a smooth transition when the Schumann Family
purchased Silver Star Mountain Resort in December 2001. Mr Hall will
return to his active role of Director, Schumann Resorts and Vice
President, Big White and Silver Star, responsible for Property
Operations and joins his fellow Vice Presidents Jeremy Hopkinson,
V.P. Outdoor Operations, Paul Plocktis, V.P. Real Estate Development
and Michael J. Ballingall, V.P. Marketing and Resort Services, in
overseeing the day to day operations of these two world class
resorts. “I
have observed Michael’s work ethic and drive on a day to day basis
for the past eighteen months and he has proven to be the perfect fit
in steering Silver Star into the future,” commented Steven Hall.
“Schumann Resorts have a lot of exciting plans for this world
class resort and we know Michael has the ability to manage the team
of tourism professionals we have assembled and will assist in
