iMile High Wine & Music Festival, August 10-11, 2018
Welcome back to Mile High Wine & Music at SilverStar, 5280 feet above sea level and only at SilverStar Mountain Resort. SilverStar is proud to bring back Canada’s highest outdoor wine tasting - with 30 different British Columbia wineries, wine pairings and live music to entertain you.
Being a mile high above sea level heightens your senses - Experience exquisite wines and food amongst friends with live music while enjoying the serenity of being on a mountain away from the city and in touch with nature.
Summer in the Okanagan is renowned for its warmth, outdoor activities, longer days, and wineries. Add the spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and lakes that SilverStar Mountain Resort has to offer and you have yourself a one of a kind summer evening! Not only will you learn how these Okanagan wines are produced, but you will have a chance to sample them and discuss as well. Welcome to the Mile High Wine & Music Festival.

Gallery Odin is happy to announce that for the 15 th time in the history of the gallery we are setting up an Art Exhibition and Sale for the Silver Star Wine Festival.
This year the show will be on the North side of the board walk in Isidore Bourgeaud’s Swiss Restaurant. It will feature original art by Okanagan artist: oil, acrylic, mixed media paintings and sculptures and open Saturday.
Kal Molnar will be hosting the show in the village, while Maria Molnar will be welcoming the visitors to Gallery Odin, at 215 Odin Rd on the Knoll as it will be open at the same time. Please put it on your calendar and come for a visit weather you are a Wine Festival participant or a visitor to Silver Star Mountain. Hope we can make it a pleasant one.
Mile High Tasting Tickets
Join us on Saturday, August 11th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. The event is held rain or shine. Please wear comfortable shoes (heels not recommended due to the grass) and dress appropriately for mountain weather as you enjoy a unique outdoor event full of fun, wine and music
Sky High Bubbles and Cheese featuring David Beaudoin
Saturday, August 11 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm. Get yourself in the mood for the Mile High Tasting with the Sky High Bubbles event.
Let the “Cheese Poet” David Beaudoin and Mt Boucherie Winery send you on a tasty ride while enjoying the best Gondola view in the Okanagan Valley paired with bubbles and cheese!!! Riders can get off at the top of the mountain for a scenic view or choose to take the gondola right back down. Purchase your seats early as limited space is available for this event.

Friday Night; A Taste of Lake Country
Celebrating Local wines with Local cuisine. This incredible meal is not to be missed as it will feature two of Lake Countries finest wineries, Ex Nihilo Vineyards and 50th Parallel Estate Winery, as SilverStar Mountain Resort’s Executive Chef Scott Sanderson pairs with locally sourced ingredients from the farmers he has met first hand.
Saturday Night; Mile High Street Food Dinner
This fun and casual long table seated dinner will explore street food classics amped up with Executive Chef Scott Sanderson's contemporary style. This food truck on steroids dinner will feature an array of Okanagan wines as well as an Okanagan cidery. Purchase your seats early as this event sells out early every year.
Mile High Wine Festival Shuttle.
Coming up just for the day and need a ride? We are pleased to once again offer a shuttle service from Vernon (and beyond for our Wine Festival guests).
Return Trip fares are $25/person plus GST (within Vernon City limits). For guests outside of Vernon, please contact Noble Adventures for shuttle options.
One-Way return fares are available from SSMR at a price of $15/person plus GST.
Pick up between 2:00 - 3:30pm. Return Shuttle 7:30pm.
