NONA Build the Clubhouse - Charity Dinner & Auction

NONA Build the Clubhouse - Charity Dinner & Auction

NONA Child Development Centre provides services in the North Okanagan to more than 700 children and youth with special needs and their families each year. The need for more space with appropriate resources is driven by the increasing number of children and youth who are diagnosed each year with Autism Spectrum Disorder. A community initiative called ‘The Build the Clubhouse Campaign’ is underway to construct a new $1.6 million facility for children with special needs. Currently, the children and youth are receiving therapy in a facility they have outgrown and which presents some safety concerns related the aging facility. This aging facility, called the Clubhouse, will be sold to help fund the New Clubhouse. But it won’t be enough to cover the costs of a new building. Therefore, NONA is asking the community for help to Build the New Clubhouse!

An exciting way to get involved in The Build the Clubhouse Campaign is to provide an item for the Silent Auction. Your name or company name will be prominently displayed along with your donated auction item. This is a great way both to generate interest in your product or service and to support a local community initiative. 100% of all auction proceeds go to The Build the Clubhouse Campaign.

In advance of the dinner and auction, every item and donor will be listed on this webpage. The night of the dinner, the Silent Auction tables will be the main site of activity for the first hour or so, with attendees browsing all the enticing items, entering bids, and even getting into ‘bidding wars’ to win coveted items. Our Silent Auction team will have styled the display tables to bring maximum impact to each item and attention to donors. We will also display marketing materials that donors provide (business cards, brochures, etc) alongside the item.

The most exciting, valuable or priceless items will be featured in a live auction after dinner. These items typically generate a great deal of excitement and exposure during the course of the evening.

Popular items for silent auction include home furnishings, artwork, travel and leisure, jewelry, personal care items, apparel, and gift certificates for restaurants and services. While we’re looking for items that will raise the most money for NONA, every donation makes a difference. And the items that do extremely well are those not likely available to the general public at any price, like behind-the-scene tours and local chefs who prepare special dinner parties in the homes of the winning bidder.
