A high-energy Clown who really gets involved with the people that he's entertaining.  He does magic shows that include the audience and he always has a surprise ending in store for you!  He does a vast assortment of balloon animals, hats and swords for the children and basically has a blast just "clowning around" with people young and old.

Music and choreography under the lights on Silver Lake.
Dec 22 Christmas Caroling in the Village- Join the Vernon Community Singers at 7pm as they make their way around Silver Star Village and fill the air with the beautiful sounds of Christmas. Follow them to the NATC and bask in the warmth of the Christmas Spirit as they share more of their festive music at 8 pm.
Dec 23 Christmas Snow Show- Vocal Commotion's Diversity!, a women's musical theatre choir, will share the stage with acoustic guitarist/vocalist Shannon Ingersoll.

Christmas Eve Festivities-Join in the Torchlight Parade, enjoy the spectacular Fireworks and take the kids to 'Santa's Visit' at the Chilcoot Centre. At 8 pm, a Christmas Eve Family Service of carols and worship will be held in the NATC Auditorium.

Jan 9 Mountain Dew Series Slopestyle-The Mountain Dew Freeskier & Snowboard Series is the best entry-level competition series in the Okanagan. Weekly draw prizes and season point totals Grand Prizes keep all participants happy and having fun! Slopestyle competitions are judged runs through the Terrain Park.
Jan 15- 23 National Ski and Snowboard Week-Skiing and Snowboarding is for everyone. Come out and celebrate winter! Special events and activities will keep you busy all week!
Jan 15 Retro Days- Come dressed in retro (60’s, 70’s & 80’s) ski attire for a chance to win some great prizes.

Jan 23 Mountain Dew Boarder/Skier Cross-High speed and tons of fun, this competition pits skiers against skiers and boarders against boarders on a winding track full of berms, jumps and whoop-de-do's.

Feb 5 The Yeti Snowshoe Race-A snowshoe race series that tours across BC. Each race consists of a 5 and a 10 km course-terrain for beginner to advanced. For more information: www.theyeti.ca
Feb 5 & 6 Vernon Winter Carnival - BC Snow Sculpting Championships Huge blocks of snow are magically transformed into the most amazing sculptures as the best in BC struggle to become the team who will represent the province at the Canadian Championships held during the Quebec Winter Carnival. 
Feb 6 Mountain Dew Halfpipe Competition-Drop in and compete for prizes or just have fun.
Feb 7-10 Over The Hill Downhill Training Camp-Join a team of world-class coaches as they teach you a thing or two about going fast. Safety is always number one, so don't worry about your day job!
Feb 11-13 25th Annual Over The Hill Downhill & Canadian Masters Downhill Championships-Teams of 4 compete in Canada's longest running Master's Ski Race. Add up the ages of your 4 competitors and that is the category you compete in. Compete on your own and earn Canadian Masters Points. Skiers and Snowboarders throughout Canada and the USA descend upon Silver Star for this annual event.
Feb 11 - 13 BC Freestyle Competition Series
Feb 11 Vernon Winter Carnival "Celebration of Lights"-Kick off the final weekend of the Vernon Winter Carnival with an explosive experience!! Fireworks commence at 7:15pm.

Feb 15 Vernon Figure Skating Club-A sample of their spring show 'Shrek' will be performed under the lights on our very own Silver Lake.
Feb 19 The Carter Classic Dual Slalom Race-Exciting, action packed recreational dual slalom races, using 'guestimation' format. Funds raised benefit Silver Star Adaptive Snow Sports Ski & Snowboard programs for the disabled. Enter a 5 person team of skiers and/or snowboarders. One team racer must have a disability and S.S.A.S.S. will gladly help to provide someone. Lots of prizes and awards afterwards at the reception in Francuccino's.
