The
25th Annual Over the Hill Downhill... a fun recreational downhill
for the young and young at heart.... and old farts. If you are into
speed find a pair of downhill boards and come to Silver Star for the
best experience of a lifetime. Again, this year the
OTHDH is run in conjunction with a Canadian Masters Downhill.
The OTHDH is as always a team event and the Masters events have individual categories from 19 - 80+. Join us for a week of
expert coaching during the OTHDH Race
Camp or just come and register to race.

Race
Information
The
OTHDH is a fun downhill ski race where teams of four compete
for the fastest downhill time. Teams are entered in a category
based on the combined team age. Team age categories range from
95 to 225+ years. Teams must have one person over the age of 35,
one female and all must be members of the Canadian Masters
Association (membership available on-site). Team registration
is $290.00 and includes race entry a fantastic awards banquet,
souvenir item, door prizes and the Don Weixl Slide Show. OTHDH
is one run only. Entry fees do not include lift ticket.

Masters DH Race Information
New
for this year...TWO runs of downhill! Competitive
masters will be happy to be able to collect valuable points and inexperienced
racers will relish the opportunity to have a go at running downhill
in a fun environment.
Cost - $72.50, includes race entry in first race, souvenir shirt, a qualifying
day and a fantastic awards banquet to wrap up the weekend. $25
more gets you one more run and one more Masters result for that all
important points race. Entry fees do not include lift
ticket.
Racers must be members of an ACA club (memberships
sold on site) and must
be registered as a Masters competitor. Age categories from 19

Recreation category competitors cannot wear a speed suit or have
skis longer than 210 cm.

Race
Format
1.
Race day is Sunday February 13th. Registered Masters will run
first in decending order by age. OTHDH categories follow the
masters categories. 2nd run for Masters racers immediately following
the completion of the first run.

Your complete team DOES NOT need to be present on the same day to
qualify. Individual team members may qualify either Friday or
Saturday but not on both days.
3.
If you run and qualify on Friday or Saturday, you will automatically
be seeded for Sunday's race. If you require a re-run, you will be
slated to run at the end of the day you qualified on (note course
closure is scheduled for 1:00pm each day). Open practice runs are on
Friday and Saturday from 1-3pm. This may vary based on how many
competitors are qualifying that day. Be aware of all schedule
changes!

Sunday's race is one run only

Similar course as last year, top of Far Out and Over-the Hill to
bottom of Yellow Chair.

No racers will be allowed on course without a bib

Course closure time is published with Start List
8.
All entrants will be required to sign a waiver that will waive
certain legal rights, including the right to sue before
participating in the Over-the Hill Clinic and Race.
9.
Approved alpine ski racing helmets are mandatory.
10.
The Race organization reserves the absolute right not to allow one
or more racers to run the course.
Awards
Awards
will be presented to fastest three teams in each OTHDH category as
well as the Snowboard category. There will also be an award for each
of the best Corporate, Recreation, Disabled, Costume and Family teams. Masters awards will be awarded to the fastest three
racers in each masters category.

Pre-registration is not required. Team Entry free is
$290.00 and
includes awards banquet and souvenir item. Entry free does not cover
lift ticket. Registration will be in the NATC on Friday, February
11, 2005 and Saturday, February 12, 2005 from 8:00am - 12:00pm each
day.
Extra banquet tickets will be available at the NATC for $35.00 per
ticket.
