One week courses
Our trainers are the most qualified in the business; you just have to ask around to realize that you've made a discerning choice.
The trainers will focus on your individual needs. Your skiing level will be accessed, and then through targeted drills designed by your trainer you will progressively improve your technique. Your new technical skills will then be put to the test with some fun and adventurous powder skiing, moguls and steeps that Silver Star is renowned for. Daily and weekly goals will be established between you and your trainer, so whether you're with us for just a week or more, reaching your goals is our goal.
On Wednesday afternoons two seminars will be scheduled on boot fitting and ski tuning. These are optional seminars, if you would prefer to ski with a trainer or take an afternoon off, it’s your choice. When you do eventually return to the "real world" a personalized video summary of your training will follow you home. These videos are a great way to refresh your memory and visualize your skiing before you hit the slopes again.

Four week course
Our experienced trainers will guide you through an inspiring training program to prepare you for the CSIA level 1 certification. The training is designed to develop your skiing skills to a refined level and introduce you to the Canadian teaching method.
The course will break into two parts; time will first be spent developing your overall skiing skills. During the training you will improve your skiing ability in all situations, we want you to be a solid skier whatever the conditions may be the "shadowing" program teams you up with an experienced pro from the Snowsport School to observe lessons, happening at least once a week, usually on the weekend. Video review will help your technical improvement and we’ll also teach you how to assess other skiers.
Teaching theory covers, skier assessment, how to use the proper terrain, developing skill improvement drills and exercises and finally safety and class management. The first 3 weeks will be divided 80% on your skiing or riding development and 20% preparing you with teaching theory and teaching practice. Our experience is that more time needs to be spent on skiing, because if you can feel it you can teach it. Week 4 will be the CSIA level 1 certification course.

Once a week
1 day of high impact ski training spread over 5 consecutive Fridays for advanced skiers.
This type of program is an ideal way to progressively improve your skiing over the entire season.
We are offering two 5 week programs for maximum learning.
The goal of this program is to have each group progress together, under guidance from the same Ski Academy trainer.
Small group sizes give you a fast lesson pace and plenty of individual attention.

Three day courses
The 3 day courses are designed to maximize your learning and have fun on and off the slopes.
The trainers will focus on your individual needs. Your skiing level will be accessed, and then through targeted drills designed by your trainer you will progressively improve your technique. Your new technical skills will then be put to the test with some fun ad adventurous powder skiing, moguls and steeps that Silver Star is renowned for.
On the last evening we will take you by snow-cat to paradise camp situated on the “backside” of the mountain for a fine dining experience.
Off - snow "Tech talks" will be scheduled for your interest along with video review held daily. When you do eventually return to the "real world" a personalized video summary of your training will follow you home. These videos are a great way to refresh your memory and visualize your skiing before you hit the slopes again.
