To work at Silver Star Mountain Resort, you must be a Canadian citizen or you must have a valid Canadian Visa and Work Permit. All foreign workers must present their Canadian Visa and Work Permit, and a Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) or proof that a SIN has been applied for. Travelers' medical insurance is highly recommended. Purchase it in your home country before coming to Silver Star.
You should immediately apply for your SIN upon your arrival in Canada. You can apply from your home country but it involves a lengthy process. Click here to view where to apply for your SIN.
Getting all of these items together can take some time, so start early. To apply for your Canadian Working Holiday Visa and Work Permit, you must contact the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in your country. My Resort Rentals
My Resort Rentals is a website for private rentals, it is designed to help staff find on mountain or local Vernon area accommodation while working at Silver Star. Visit www.myresortrentals for all private on and off mountain accommodation.
Silver Star Staff Accommodation
Silver Star village features a staff residential building for Silver Star employees. This building is only open to current Silver Star Ski Resort staff.

The Silver Star Staff residence is designed to house staff for employment accommodation and is located in the heart of the Silver Star village. The price is between $400 to $500 per person, per month, depending on the size and setup of the unit. The room designs are set for 2-4 people for a standard room and 6-8 in the shared rooms for up to about 150 staff in total. Every room features two bunk beds, most having a double bed option on the bottom, televisions, phones, mini refrigerators, coffee-makers and hairdryers. Many of our rooms have views of Silver Star Mountain or the Monashee Mountains. The dining area where staff can prepare their own meals includes large shared refigerators and freezers, there is also common laundry facilities and ski lockers, a common lounge area and games room featuring a pool table, fuse ball and table tennis.
