“I think it is safe to say Silver Star could possibly be the best bike park in the Canada. The people, terrain and level of commitment on behalf of staff and trail crew is amazing.”

"Silver Star and everyone involved from ticket sales and lifty’s to maintenance and patrol were absolutely superb! A quick lift offers crazy, long arm burning runs for all levels of rider and each trail has incredible flow and rhythm making me grin like a school boy! The local cuisine from proper restaurants to the local pubs offer huge variety and killer flavour making it easy to eat out every night! Accommodations at Silver Star are very accessible with easy ride in/out opportunity and offers a high end experience from both condos to complexes. It seems no matter who I bump into, everyone at Silver Star is stoked to be there and staff and managers alike seem to take huge pride in their mountain… So cool!... I sit on a very thin and difficult fence, do I tell everyone I know how amazing the Silver Star experience is every time I go or do I keep it my dark hidden secret…

"Silver Star bike park is super fun and a great place to enjoy learning skills. The burms, drops and jumps are all nicely marked and made to progress and challenge yourself at any level. I have been racing and coaching for over ten years and Silver Star mountain has so much to offer for a completely exciting and friendly atmosphere, I will definitely be returning!"

We stayed at the Indian Paintbrush, one of the condos up on Monashee Rd. Everything was great!
Wanted to give you some feedback on the park in general and Benton Hennig in particular. We're a group of riders, from intermediate to advanced, and we found that there was something for everyone in the park.
I thoroughly enjoyed the blacks and double blacks and I think Silver Star is one of the best parks in BC and, consequently, the world. If you take into consideration the short(er) line-ups when compared to Whistler, you get the best place, 'pound-for-pound'.
Took the advanced Benton Hennig camp on Sunday the 29th and it was a blast! Went into the camp hoping we'll have a some take-aways and we ended up with much more. Aside being an awesome rider, Benton is a great instructor, and a super chill guy. Having an excellent eye, and being a good listener he identified our strengths and weaknesses immediately and worked in improving everyone's riding right away. Very, very impressed with him. Give the guy a raise!
We are already talking of coming back this summer. Don't know how the heck we'll get the extra vacation days, but we might see you again on September long weekend!
Keep up the great work!

We recently travelled from Perth, Australia to British Columbia for a mountain biking holiday, which included a week at Silver Star. To put this in perspective, that's about a 13000km trip involving some 26 hours on planes and in airports! People have asked me if it was worth it and my answer is "YES."
Since we began biking many years ago, we have always wanted to travel to British Columbia and ride. BC is an iconic destination, a kind of Mecca for mountain bikers around the globe. We had heard good things about Silver Star Bike Park from other Australian riders, but nothing prepared us for just how good the riding was. We spent a week at the Star and I could have easily stayed a month. It is world class. The commitment, passion and work ethic of the trail crew is evident on every single run and the variety of terrain available is superb. There's something for everyone on the mountain, from experienced riders to rank beginners. I could take off down World Cup and my significant other would be super-stoked by the end of a run down Superstar. We knew by the end of the second day that we'd be back at the Star in 2008, but for longer. I would have traded the week we spent on the North Shore for more time on your hill, without any hesitation. We met a lot of Vernon riders and even caught up with some of them later in the trip at Whistler. Great people, great trails, great accommodation and great beer!
Being from Perth, snow is something we just don't experience. We have year-round biking, though, so it's a big part of our outdoors lifestyle here. The Bike Park may be viewed as a poor cousin to the winter activities but nonetheless it drew us from halfway round the world to ride it.
It's always gut wrenching to leave a place you've fallen in love with, but now we're back in sunny Perth we are working towards returning to BC and Silver Star Bike Park in 2008. Thank you for a fantastic biking experience.

We just returned from our weekend at SilverStar and we had an amazing time from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Snowbird Lodge was beyond any expectation and truly blew us away when we walked in!
The mountain experience - what can I say, it was "off the hook!" Personal favourites include Pipe Dream, Rockstar, Double Dog and World Cup. Our group included a wide variety of bike skills and even those new to the sport were complete "joysticks," giggling through the dust, scrapes and exhaustion! I've been riding on the north shore for about 18 years now, and can say I've not gone that fast for that long ever!
You have created 17 new raving advocates who are already making their plans to return to Silver Star (for the winter too!).

Thanks so much for the great course. Claudia taught in such an easy, understandable way that I learned so much. Even when there was stuff I didn't feel I was skilled enough yet to try, it was good to learn how to do it from your demonstrations and watching the others trying. Even though there was a range of levels and experience in our group, I think everyone learned from the course and were challenged.

What a great teacher Claudia is, I was quite nervous at attending the camp as I thought that I might not meet the skills of everyone else and, as I found out, everyone was there for the same reason as me. Claudia made everyone feel welcome and at ease, she praised and encouraged and advised where needed, which gave me that extra little confidence to try things I would normally have not attempted.

Benton was just awesome, he helped me with exactly what I wanted to get out of the camp, and I did more than I thought I could do! He helped me with everything, my jumps, cornering, and speed. I can tell you that this day will be one of the highlights of my summer - it was well worth the trip up from Victoria! I still have a huge smile when I think about how much fun it was.

Get yourself and your bike to Silver Star! Travel from wherever you live, even if you only have time to ride one place, because Silver Star is clearly a destination. It'll rock your world!

I just want to say how much fun we had last week at your mountain bike park. We were very impressed by the staff on the lifts, the first aid (which unfortunetly we needed) and the village staff. The trails were excellent especially rockstar, I can’t imagine how much work has gone into those runs. We are definately coming back soon. Thanks from three old mountain bikers from Nelson.

Hi, I took part in the Mountain Bike camp with Ryan and wanted to say what a great time I had. Ryan showed me not to be afraid of anything but to just have fun. I learned how to do a “roll over” and also how to ride safely. Ryan was awesome, and treated me very well I had no idea it would be that much fun! And I think every one should try mountain biking at Silver Star at least once. I cannot wait to go again... It was so cool!!!!!
Thanks for the fun...

July 2006 Last weekend I took my first mountain bike camp to brush up on some basic skills I’d need on the local trails and came away with more tips and tricks than I anticipated! Darcy (instructor) accommodated each person’s ability level throughout the day and continually individualized his advice as to what each one of us could work on as we practiced new skills in the village and then atop the mountain as we screamed downhill on our bikes! I’m looking forward to getting out on my bike again to enjoy the awesome trails at Silver Star and most importantly to be able to use my newly practiced skills to ward off any big bruises as I ride the trails on the mountain!
