Lift Operations Manager - Lift Operations
Description:
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
Supervise the daily operation of ski lift system. Design and implement guest service strategy to set up apart from our competition.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner. Plan and conduct staff meetings and training programs. Confer with manager and staff to plan and coordinate services/activities, plan and assign work, resolve problems, etc. Plan work schedules. Supervise and assist with opening, transportation of staff to work sites, preparation of ramps, closing, and similar tasks. Regularly audit/inspect all lift and operations. Ensure adherence to operating procedures/safety standards. Conduct lift incident investigations, and customer service issues. Deal with a variety of special problems that may arise, such as lift breakdowns or equipment malfunctions. Prepare for and assist with emergency operations. Prepare a variety of administrative/operations reports and records. Maintain an inventory of supplies, and perform related tasked as needed. Responsible for accurate record keeping pertaining to all operational log sheets. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Exposure to inclement weather conditions. Manual dexterity. Ability to bend, lift and carry heavy objects.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, Train the Trainer and SROAM completion at Selkirk College A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical and supervisory experience in the ski industry, or a combination of education from which comparable knowledge and skills is required. Broad base of mechanical/electrical knowledge and skills. Sound technical understanding of ski lift operations. Good basic administrative, personnel skills and understanding of math/budgets. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals/organizations in and outside the Company. Ability to handle emergency situations effectively. First Aid Level 1 and a Valid Driver’s Licence
