Silver Star Mountain Resort is an award winning winter playground nestled in the heart of the North Okanagan Valley. Get ready for classic runs through soft light powder — 23 feet a year. You'll feel like you're flying, and even if you're not a pro, you'll look like one. We groom our runs through the night so the morning’s skiers meet impeccable slopes. One of Canada's best grooming teams operates Silver Star’s fleet of Bombardiers. Each and every night after the chairlifts close, our team sets out to deliver velvety wales of corduroy so you can cruise all day.
The mountain offers two distinct ski areas; one for novices and intermediates, the other for the more adventurous.
The Vance Creek has immaculately groomed runs with wide-open spaces, uncrowded slopes and great views of the Monashee Mountains. The Comet Express, the largest six-passenger chairlift in Canada, enables skiers and riders to quickly access Silver Star’s award winning terrain on the mountain’s front side. But wait...
A visit to the dark side will challenge any hardcore enthusiast. With over 60 runs serviced by the high-speed Powder Gulch Quad, Putnam Creek is renowned for black diamond runs and deep powder snow… Bon Diablo, Zypper and Headwall, to name a few. Winch-cat grooming nightly creates steep fall line cruising that will leave you breathless.
At Silver Star, there’s no better place for kids to improve their skiing or boarding skills than at the Star Kids Centre. Whether they’re new to the sport or already at a more advanced level, Silver Star’s award-winning instructors are legendary for their patience, enthusiasm, and ability to bring out the best in every child. Apres ski activities are in abundance including an incredible Adventure Park with ice skating on Silver Lake, thrilling tube rides, mini Z snowmobiles and horse drawn sleigh rides. Snowmobile tours, snowshoe tours and an extensive Cross Country ski trail system round out what is truly the Okanagan’s finest Winter Playground.
