KEVIN HILL | BOARDERCROSS
Kevin Hill loves to live life to the fullest. Since he first saw the Olympic Games on television, he’s been craving for the day he would be part of the National team and living the Olympic dream, no matter what sport he would be competing in. At 19, he started snowboarding and his love for speed and airtime brought him to Snowboardcross. A few years later, Kevin is now an Olympian with Canada's best men's Snowboardcross finish at the 2014 Olympic Games with 5th place.
Since 2010, Hill has been a leader on the Snowboardcross team, having gained respect with an impressive out-of-nowhere run that came up just short of qualifying for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Hill turned heads with a second place finish at the 2011 Winter X-Games. In 2015/2016, Hill took home the silver at the Baqueira Beret World Cup, and followed up his Spanish success with a bronze in the SBX team event at the 2017 Sierra Nevada FIS Snowboard World Championships.
In the off-season, Hill can be found racing BMX in his hometown of Vernon, BC or enjoying extreme sports such as cliff jumping, downhill mountain biking, surfing and wakeboarding.
"SilverStar has been my favourite mountain since the first day I stepped on snow, I grew up riding their slopes, and I'll continue to as long as I can. I want to thank my SilverStar family for all their support in my endeavour to own the podium at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Korea."- Kevin Hill

JOSH DUECK | ADAPTIVE SKI
Para-Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist, Josh is a role model for many. His passion, drive, and enthusiasm for snow sports in Canada are a true inspiration.SilverStar has been home to Josh from the start of his Paralympic career and are proud to have him representing and inspiring the next generation of SilverStar shredders.
"At the age of 23, a tragic accident on skis left me paralysed from the waist down. Rather than wallow in pity, I chose to move forward and return to the mountains, a place that brings me peace and gives me hope. It has been 13 years since my accident -- I have had the great fortune to dedicate my life to the sport that I love, represent Canada at two Paralympic Games and was also named the flag bearer for Canada at the closing ceremonies of the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. My time in the mountains has exposed me to my true nature, which is a return to joy.
SilverStar has been home for the duration of my Paralympic career, my number one supporter and the backbone to this dream I call life. The next chapter of my story is the most exciting - being home after years on the road and being able to share my passion for the sport with my wife and our kids." - Josh Dueck
