All of our coaches and guides at SilverStar are certified in the internationally recognized Professional Mountain Bike Instructor courses (PMBI.)We focus on building your fundamentals that will increase your confidence and enjoyment.  SilverStar Bike School offers both private and group clinics for DH and XC riding. Check out our weekly programs as well.

Why take a clinic or join one of our programs?

The simple answer is to help you enjoy the sport that we love so much.  This is a technical sport and with the right coaching it's a sport that everyone can enjoy.  Our friendly and knowledgeable coaches cater to every individual within a group -- giving constructive feedback to help enhance your overall mountain experience. Whether you end up one-on-one with our patient and friendly coaches or in a group, you will definitely learn something new and gain confidence on the trails.

Beginner Bike Park Experience No experience in a DH Mountain bike park.
Other Cycling Limited mileage on city streets and paved bike paths. Type of bike - road and/or urban bike. Little experience on a Mountain bike on off road terrain of any kind.
Skills Average balance and control on a bike and can control the use of hand brakes.
What you MAY Learn You will learn basic skills such as braking and cornering that you need to ride your first bike park trails comfortably and confidently.
Program Suggestions Mountain Bike Basics - Private Coaching.
Novice Bike Park Experience Limited experience in DH Mountain bike parks. Able to ride comfortably at slower speeds on wide green trails similar.
Other Cycling Has some experience on green  XC trails ie: easy gradient with roots and/or rocky terrain. Limited mileage on XC Mountain bikes.
Skills Good balance and control on a bike and can control the use of hand brakes.
What you MAY Learn You will learn the additional skills you need to ride more difficult trails. 
Program Suggestions 2hr Intro To DH - Mens/Ladies Intro to DH - Private Coaching.
Intermediate Bike Park Experience Bike Park experience on green and easy blue trails. 
Other Cycling Comfortable at slower speeds on technical blue trails with roots and loose rocks and tight single track. More experience on a XC Mountain bike than DH bike.
Skills No jumping or drop experience. Can ride, balance, change gears and brake without thinking about it.
What you MAY Learn Benefits of taking a program: You will learn the basics of how to drop and jump, as well improving your overall bike skills.
Program Suggestions Private Coaching - Full Day DH Package - The Buzz Camp.
4 Advanced Bike Park Experience Comfortable on all blue technical and flowing trails with jumps and drops. Has mileage on Black technical trails and flow trails with jumps and drops. Working on improving technique on Black jump and drop features.
Other Cycling Comfortable on all blue technical and flowing trails with jumps and drops. Has significant mileage on Black technical trails and flow trails with jumps and drops.
Skills Jumping or drop experience. Able to ride smoothly, retain balance, change gears and brake comfortably at higher speeds and on steeper and rougher terrain.
What you MAY Learn Develop your skills and experience levels with the added safety of having a guide to coach you on the finesse and timing required at more advanced levels of riding.
