People Make It Great
March 6th, 2010
Silver Star has been a tremendous stay from the time we drove into the parking lot. The "lifties" are world class and the village people are extremely friendly. As for the skiing there isn't a thing to complain about there but its just not as good as the people that make it GREAT.

I usually don't send feedback good or bad but I figured something this good deserved praise and to know how excellent it really is.

Paradise Found
January 15th, 2010
While the mountain may not be as busy as last Christmas, it is great for us because we got to eat lunch more often at Paradise Camp.

The food and service in Paradise Camp last season was great, but this season Wendy has out done that with her unbelievable soups, scones, muffins and lemon Pie!! The lunches are great (my personal favourite is the Calliper Ridge Club!!!!

The only thing getting thinner is my wallet.

Also the service is the best yet, thanks to Nicole's personality and leadership. They make all their customers feel special and isn't that what everyone wants?

Special Thanks To Silver Star Patrol
January 15th, 2010
I want to say thank you to those in patrol who helped me get safely down the mountain after I hurt my knee and was unable to ski the rest of the way down.

I have been skiing since I was three and never have had to be taken down in a sled. I consider myself a good skier and I know how difficult it must be to get folks down while trying to keep the patient comfortable in a sled. Your team did a wonderful job. Even though I joked with them I felt like I was completely safe. They never once appeared to question their ability to get me down. They were completely confident in their ability and it was apparent in the way they performed their duties.

My knee is swollen, I have already had one ACL reconstruction and I am hoping I won't need to go through that surgery again. I really wanted to get down the mountain on my own and felt silly that I had to be taken down in a sled. But your team assured me that I made the right choice and put me at ease - my orthopedic would thank them.

Please let them know how grateful I am. I hope you know what a fine team you have here at Silver Star. I hope I never have to experience that ride again, but if I do, I hope it is with the professionalism and expertise that your team possesses.

Thanks again and Happy New Year

Love the Free Tours
January 13th, 2010
I just wanted to tell you how very much my family and I appreciated the services of one of your free tour guides. His name was Brett. He approached us when we were looking at the map board at the top of the Comet chair.

We were considering exploring the backside of the mountain, and were not sure about where to go etc...

He offered to go with us, and show us around a bit. He took us on a couple of runs, and then helped us to get back to the front side later on that morning. But what we appreciated the most, was how friendly and helpful he was.

Our daughter is pretty new to boarding, and he demonstrated such patience with her, and even helped her when she fell off the T-Bar. Since he refused any gratuity, we wanted to make sure that you were aware of his kindness, and ask that you thank him again for us.

A Great Fit For Families
January 13th, 2010
Well, we are back in Toronto all in one piece. I can speak for all involved and say we had a great week at Silver Star. Our accommodation at Silver Fern worked perfectly for our group (six adults/seven kids) and we enjoyed having family dinners and soaking in the hot tub. I am most impressed with the ski school that converted three non-skiers into skiers in three 1/2 day sessions in my family (Liam, Ella & Natalie).

I personally pushed for the family to come to Silver Star because even though I had never been to the hill, in my years at Skican I always felt that Silver Star was a great fit for families, especially families traveling with young kids. I would say that the reality of my recent experience fit perfectly with the image I had of the resort before arriving.

Our experience certainly makes it tempting to repeat the trip in the years to come.

Great to meet everybody and all the best with the remainder of your ski season.

Sincerely,
Alex MacDougall

Exceeding our Expectations
December 30th, 2009
Hi Jenny,
Thank you so much for all the work you did for our group. The kids had a fabulous day, smiles all around!

Please forward this to your management team.... Special thanks to : Jenny for arrangements, Phoenix & Sophie at Tube Town — our gang filled the ticket booth more than once!
The kindly sleigh drivers, who answered an awful lot of questions and who allowed the children to pet the horses.
The very friendly fellow at Bean To Cup who provided awesome service to the kids, with a smile, despite the noise and chaos of 20 people at the till.
And to the kind lady at Guest Services who gave each child a Silver Star Fox as a souvenir.

The day was just amazing, and the Silver Star staff far exceeded any expectations that we had. What a great crew to work with!

See you next year,

Karen Latta,

XC Grooming out of this world
December 12th, 2009
“First of all, Silver Star and Sovereign are pure heaven. I almost wish we weren’t racing just so I could ski six hours a day, everyday.

For those that haven’t been here, book your ticket now. The conditions couldn’t have been better – packed powder and temps in the teens. The race was well organized, the volunteers are awesome, and the grooming is OUT OF THIS WORLD.”

Love the XC Camps
December 8th, 2009
Hey there!
Just wanted to sent out a big thanks for putting on such a great camp! It's was my first year attending the five-day camp and I was very impressed. From the package pick up to checking out everything was excellent and ran super smooth.

All was incredibly fantastic - accommodations, use of gym and facilities, evening events, times and amount of ski instruction, great lunches, and not to mention the best skiing ever!

Our group had Andi for our group instructor - she was absolutely wonderful, very patient, and has a great style of teaching.

Hope to see ya'll again next year.

Thanks again,
Candace Bourque

Love "Going The Distance"
December 6th, 2009

Hi Glenn.
Just a quick note of appreciation for the really excellent experience I enjoyed at the Going the Distance camp this week. I was so impressed with the calibre of the coaching, the flexibility that was offered and generally the welcoming and friendly atmosphere created by you and your team.

The campers themselves were a great bunch of people too and taken together this past week has been like a cross-country ski/sport/health university . If you could ever capture all the data contained in all the conversations you would have a remarkable resource of the best places to ski, bike, run etc. not to mention nutrition, sports medicine, physiology, psychology etc. etc. !!!

So, you can chalk up another raving fan and with any luck I'll join you again next year and who knows maybe encourage a few more Manitobans to attend — I was badly out-numbered by Newfies, Wisconsonites! and Californians.

Best of the season to you Glenn,

Jim Lewis

Lifting My Spirits
December 6th, 2009

Congrats Michael on the successful food drive .... great idea .... good on you!

I'd like to tell you also how wonderful the lifties have been. I've been out five days and have always had the lifties speak to me .... the ticket scanners too! Great crew this year .... extremely personable, friendly & chatty. I hope they can keep up their enthusiasm ... it makes quite a difference.

Here's hoping for a successful year for the resort. Seems like it's started on the right foot!

Cheers,

Carol King

Xc Camps Delight
November 28th, 2009
Hey Glenn, just wanted to say that I am super impressed with this camp!

Everything is super organized, I love my fleece, the wine and cheese was a great touch, the lunch today was great, the coaches seem really professional and passionate! I had a brilliant day with Joe ... learned tons, got lots of great feedback, feel totally re-inspired and ready to get back into nordic skiing — after quite a few years away!.

I am sure this is a lot of work for you to pull together but you seem to have done a top job! Please pass on my thanks to Andi and anyone else who helped you put together the camp.

I am looking forward to tomorrow. I have popped a few ibuprophen just to make sure I am good to go!

Thank you to everyone involved.

Silver Star Is All And More
November 23rd, 2009
Just want you to know that when we arrived at Silver Star all we kept saying was how thankful that you are our friend and recommended this wonderful place to us! It has snowed every day since we arrived — now around 30" — and the skiing is phenomenal!

Thank you also for introducing us to Glenn Bond. Glenn showed us where we could wax our skis and then actually walked outside with us and showed us some of the best places to ski so I could get my "ski legs". He has since checked in with us. We also met Mike Mandli today. He asked who told us about Silver Star and we mentioned you, he smiled and said he knows you and appreciates your telling others about this wonderful place.

The trails are great, the views are fabulous, in fact they take my breath away — or that could be the altitude! I have never alpine skied, so I must say, it is all a bit overwhelming as I look at those downhill slopes!

Silver Star is all and even more then you said. The people have been so kind and being here this week before the alpine skiing opens is actually perfect for us. It is quiet and so peaceful, just what I needed to get back on track after my "year off". I am trying to remember all that you taught me and trying to put it to practice.

We are already talking about coming back again, this time adding more time to our stay!

Thank you to Glenn for a wonderful trip to Silver Star!

Hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Becky Stewart-Gross

Action Packed Snow Adventures
August 20th, 2009

The family orientated Silver Star Mountain Resort was an awesome holiday destination that offered access to action packed snow adventures on expertly groomed ski runs that were up to 8 kms long. Night skiing on dry powder snow was complimented with firework displays. Silver Star mountain Resort also offered more relaxing snow adventures that included exploring the colourful village, socializing with the cafe culture, indulging in retail therapy or just experiencing the breath taking views. Luxury accommodation at "The Snowbird" came complete with hot-tub, gymnasium, theatre, under-cover parking, games room and friendly helpful staff. WOW! Silver Star Mountain Resort was a great holiday destination to socialize with both new and established friendships.

P.S. Air Canada was fantastic to fly with.

Your skiing is second to none
August 20th, 2009

Just a note to emphasise the great time we have recently spent at Silver Star.

Our party of 6 arrived on the 16th Jan (slightly late due to the airport closure) and left on the 25th .....from New Zealand.

We have all skied Silver Star before and nothing had changed ! (don’t take that the wrong way!), apart from the obvious lift improvements etc. The whole product offered was so enjoyable, relaxed and friendly as experienced on previous trips

Your skiing is second to none re variety of terrain, grooming, lift staff. We have skied resorts (Whistler, Big White [sorry] Sun Peaks, Lake Louise, Fernie, Red Mountain, Apex,) extensively in Canada and all agree SS still comes out on top.

We experienced the Sleigh Ride plus dinner which was a “never to be forgotten” experience and the Cat ride and dinner at Paradise and, sincerely, had some of the best food I have had for a long time.

A fabulous holiday and a promise to repeat it again. Many thanks again to all for allowing us to leave a lot of money in the area ! J...... and for your and unique overall “Canadian” hospitality.

The best I have experienced
August 20th, 2009

Having visited the various snow fields around BC and Alberta over the last 7 years; I was as impressed with Silver Star as the best I have experienced. Their warmth and friendly atmosphere was obvious as was the willingness to please and assist with the staff in all areas of the Village.

The resort displayed a fantastic variation of activities for young and old, skiers and no-skiers alike. A friendly village offering an excellent range of shopping experience for everyone and many variations of eateries, from café bakery style to the very best of cuisine was on offer!

I wouldn't even know have to accolade on the unbelievable terrain, standard of grooming and quality of ski instructors at Silver Star, all are of such a high standard and you would be hard pressed to find any better in the region. Accommodation variation is also at a premium and your choice will not be hard to please; they have all types of packages available on any budget or family requirement. This combined with its close location to town activities as well, you could not ask for more rounded package.

We were extremely impressed with Silver Star as a whole and cannot wait to go back in the very near future. Well and truly the best ski experience I have had to date!

Thanks Silver Star!

My Mountain
April 22nd, 2009

I can honestly say, my stay at Silver Star over the Xmas period with my family was the best holiday I have ever had, the snow, the staff, the facilities, the accommodation and the beauty – it is MY MOUNTAIN”

Short but sweet, and soooooooooo true, didn’t think I would mention crying when I left.

A Truly Wooley Story
March 11th, 2008

Dear Norman,

A Truly Wooley Story

I wanted to write and tell you a tale of the past two years and I promise I won't take too long but it starts as a tale of misery and finishes with a fairy tale ending. I'd like to tell this story in a diary of mini events starting from:

First Visit to Silver Star - March 2006: After taking almost an hour to get dressed i.e. getting boots on and complaining about them, the cold, my feet and legs hurting in these ridiculous boots and wondering why I was on a holiday wearing restrictive, painful clothing only to throw myself off a mountain. Nevertheless I persevered up to Far Out whereupon I accused my husband of trying to kill me by taking me on a blue run it was only when I asked a passer by I was assured I was indeed on a green run. So day 1 was spent coming down the top side of Far Out partly skiing, partly on my bottom, partly rolling this only took 1 hour and then another hour to Main Street back to the Village.

Day 2: I knew this couldn't continue we were here for a week and rather than give up I marched in to the Ski School and booked my first ski lesson and was allocated Angus Wooley. Again we did Far Out but top to bottom this took the entire lesson and then back down Main Street which took at least half an hour after I'd fallen over in the snow to rest 6 or 7 times. Poor Angus BUT here was a complete stranger who somehow had the patience to get me to ski about 4 turns all at once. Maybe I could become a skier after all - so I booked 4 more lessons (I thought if I did all these lessons I couldn't back out, that was it...)

Day 3, 4, 5 and 6 Well poor poor Angus it didn't really get much better for the 2nd and 3rd lessons. It was up to 6 turns before I'd have to have a rest I was still on Far Out and Sundance and still sitting down and moaning about my boots, my legs and the fact that I was completely terrified every time I looked down Far Out and even Aunt Gladys didn't help. Bergerstrasser was my favourite run - this really says it all BUT on Day 5 and 6 with new boots I managed half a run and somehow gained a little more confidence. Angus persevered and although I'm sure secretly really would have rather I'd skied off a cliff never to be heard of again I booked to come back next year...

2nd Visit - March 2007 Poor Angus I was now here for 2 weeks - booked about 7 lessons. The new boots were a blessing and Tom at Ski Dazzle knew my footsteps by now and he'd punched out and shaved off half my boots but we were getting there with the evil boots. First 2 lessons and I managed Far Out in about half an hour was doing several turns by now and finally enjoying myself Lesson 3 - Angus' revenge I had to do a Blue - BX Express with my stomach in my mouth I did it and the feeling was amazing - clearly Angus had picked a run with no people on because I think I yelled the entire run and it took about half an hour from top to bottom but the first big leap. Lessons 4, 5, 6 and 7: more blue runs and despite the fact it was slow progress I was in fact progressing and all this poor man had put up with was now paying off. But was this the end - No I booked to come back at Christmas. Christmas 07 and Jan 08 - 5 more lessons: Gunned Far Out in about 10 minutes - Bergerstrasser was a pain it was just too boring, Aunt Gladys was a bore even Whisky Jack was beginning to be pedestrian. By the end of these 5 lessons I had done pretty much all the front blue runs not yet top to bottom without a rest but by now Angus was getting his own back; Cloud Nine, Surmy Ridge and Gypsy Queen were all tackled and completed albeit slowly and with great trepidation on my part, after each slope Angus made me turn around to see what I'd achieved. I was amazed this was a long way from the two hours it took to ski down Far Out eighteen months earlier. I was finally seeing myself as a skier but I was still nervous and scared every time I looked down the mountain but I'd come this far SO I booked to come back March 2008.

March 2008 - 4 lessons. Skied with my husband for the first 4 days and pretty much loved every minute. 1st day went straight down Whisky Jack and most of the front side blues WITHOUT STOPPING AND I was really truly enjoying myself. 1st Lesson - Angus took me down The Face - my first BLACK RUN. Lesson 2 saw me tackle Just Dandy and Wee Willie this was progress. I still have 2 more lessons I'm now up to listening to better technique I'm no longer scared I don't look down the mountain now and think 'I can't do this' next lessons will see me down more blacks and ski the blues with carefree confidence. I truly feel I'm a skier albeit with much to learn but what a journey. I could not have done this without the patience and tolerance of Angus. I'm not a particularly patient person myself. I'm certainly not fit, and anyone who knows me well is so surprised I of all people can now ski at a competent level. Angus has the patience of Job; he had the forbearance to put up with this complaining, whining middle aged woman but I guess seeing me ski The Face was a reward for all his hard work, diligence and above all infinite fortitude and endurance My husband, Eric, has had several lessons with Rachel and whilst he did not have my phobias he has progressed his skiing technique and skills enormously over the past couple of years. He continues to have a couple of lessons every holiday with Rachel. The person who thanks Angus the most however is my husband, he can now ski with me and we can have proper ski holidays together, which is the real reason I endured this amazing experience for so long and made the effort and thanks to Angus I achieved all of this.

This letter is to commend your Ski School and to produce such wonderful instructors as Angus and Rachel Wooley they are a great credit to the Ski School we have and will continue to recommend Silver Star and the Ski School to all our friends. Well done.

Kind regards

Yours sincerely,
Wendy Gallagher and Eric Wandner

Ski School Proves Why its Best of the Best
February 27th, 2008
Good morning,

We are just finishing our holiday at Silver Star today. I wanted you to please pass on our thanks to your childrens ski school on our behalf.

As a family that travel every year in the search of snow we have experienced a number of ski schools. These include Sun Peaks, Whistler, Big White, Aspen Snowmass.
By far the most improvement we have seen in our children has been at Silverstar. By far the best organization and commitment we have see has been by your staff to our children has been at Silver Star.

Thank you, thank you! Our kids not only learned better skiing techniques but also had a huge amount of fun.

We hope to see you next year.

Best regards,

Nicole, Shane, Neisha, Jessica and Jackson Collins

From East to West without a worry
April 30th, 2007
Living in New Brunswick means we are a long way from the great ski slopes of Western Canada and usually this means the first day of any ski trip is totally taken up with travelling. However I had a pleasant surprise, in late March, when I travelled to the Okanagan for some fantastic spring skiing. I was able to leave Moncton in the morning and was making turns at Silver Star that afternoon. Thanks to a great West Jet connection, out of Moncton at 06:15 and into Kelowna at 10:44, I was making turns by 13:30. There was even time in Toronto for a Tim’s and a bite. So when you are planning your next ski trip out West don’t forget that with both Big White and Silver Star you can be skiing or riding on the same day you leave home.

The perfect place for our family
April 25th, 2007
Just back from Silverstar it was the perfect place for our family. Snowbird Lodge was excellent, The daycare and ski school were incredible. The young women in the daycare facility were great - we had a bit of a glitch on arrival but they dealt with it immediately and very competently. The ski instructors were consistently excellent. AND the icing on the cake - the snow was fantastic and it just kept snowing and snowing. 5 to 10 centimetres every day. Loved it!

Will we ever see Mickey again?
March 25th, 2007
We asked the kids if they wanted to go to Disneyland or Silver Star this year and, with no hesitation they replied -Silver Star! Im actually wondering if we will ever see Mickey again. Between the incredible conditions, the amazing staff at Star Kids, and all the great activities, Silver Star is the perfect place for a true family vacation. We can't wait to come back.

Congratulations to Silver Star
March 19th, 2007

My husband and I have now had the pleasure to have had 15 days of private lessons with Robyn Beaudry over the past 2 years and our enjoyment of skiing has increased significantly with each lesson.

To put Robyn’s accomplishments with us into context, I started skiing at the age of 50 and my husband began 3 years ago at the age of 55. Today we consider our selves very confident dark blue skiers and have a goal to ski in our 90th year – a seed planted by Robyn.

On every run, we have Robyn’s encouragement and straightforward coaching style as support because of the great fundamentals and confidence she has given us. Because of her expert teaching style Nels and I are able to make sure we don’t revert to bad habits which will take away from the fun and pleasure of skiing. Because of Robyn’s abilities as an instructor we love to ski together and we ski well together. She has given us a wonderful gift.

This year we brought 3 of our children to Silver Star. Chloe, our 18-year-old daughter joined us in lessons with Robyn. Despite that fact that she had only skied once before Robyn quickly took her needs into account and structured several days of lessons to accommodate Chloe’s needs. Suffice to say that at the end of the holiday Chloe not only was skiing glades and off-piste, she was raving about the great drills Robyn taught her. Her favourite was the 360. The other two kids took boarding lessons from Ewan and had a great time.

I am sure you already know what a wonderful instructor Robyn is and I know you value her contributions to the Silver Star team. She is absolutely delightful to be with, flexible in her approach, honours and acknowledges her students individually, has a very high standard of personal excellence, a wonderful and quick sense of humour and most importantly has a strong sense of personal values and integrity. Congratulations to Silver Star for hiring and retaining such a marvellous person on your staff.

Will be coming back next year!

Hi, i wanted to drop you a note expressing my happiness and satisfaction regarding the teching that you offer. Dave Robb was my instructor, not only this year but last. Dave's skiing abilityis exemplary and i feel grasteful for Dave's tips and his intuitive ability to tune-in to my needs and also, how i felt about myself as i attempted to apply the fundamentals. I couldn't help noticing the professionalism & integrity with many of your staff that i was introduced to. Sincere thanks to you & your teaching staff.

Powder Skiing Tune Up
January 18th, 2007

I stopped at Silver Star for 2 days of skiing as a tune up for 5 days of snow cat skiing with Mustang Powder. One day I had morning and afternoon group lessons with Rodger Poole and the next day with Glen McPherson. I'd like to compliment you on the quality and professionalism of your staff. They looked at 40 years of bad habits and really helped me with a few well chosen tips on ways I could improve my powder skiing.

Also liked Silver Star, especially the way the powder wasn't skied out by 9am.

First Ski Trip to Canada
September 19th, 2006
My name is Owen King and I am 16 years old. I took up skiing last year and went to Canada for my first big ski trip. We stayed at Silver Star resort for a week and went to Big white afterwards for a days skiing. I know these being the first resorts I have visited I dont really have anything to compare them to but can I just say that these two are just pure perfection, both have over 100 runs, recieve great Okanagon powder which is groomed to perfection and overall have a great atmosphere for families and seasoned skiers alike. Big White has by far a bigger village and offers better apres-ski entertainment but silver stars' mountain village is not to be ignored either.

A Privilege to Ski at Silver Star
April 5th, 2006
Well, we were privileged to ski Silver Star yesterday April 2nd. My wife, Jan and I last skied here on our honeymoon in winter of 1971 - We live in Blaine, Wa - not really that far away. We made it back home (275 miles) in five hours. Just a note to let you know we really enjoyed our visit to your beautiful area! Runs were wonderful and your six seat high speed chair spoiled us - you get in a lot of skiing in a day. Your staff is great – friendly and helpful. I finally traded in my old straight skis for a pair of B4 Rossignols – I can only imagine carving turns on these back in 1971. We will be back much sooner next time.

Steve, Jan and Matthew Hovde

Wonderful Mountain Hosts
April 5th, 2006
This is just a short note to thank the operators of Silver Star for a great holiday. There were 11 Australians in our group staying in Silver Star in Jan 2006. The snow was great and the village was perfect. Our skiing experience was enhanced by your wonderful mountain hosts. Doug Dauncey and Sue Wallace especially were very patient and wonderful ambadassors for your mountain.

A holiday like this costs a great deal of money for Australians but we will keep coming to Canada while this type of service is provided.

Thank you once again.

A Memorable Vacation
March 15th, 2006
Hello there! My husband and I just returned home to Toronto last night after staying at your Grandview (#306) condo, and skiing in absolutely perfect conditions for a few days (too few!). It was our first time to your resort, and our first time alpine skiing in over 10 years! We travelled there with my brother and his wife. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in every way! We'll certainly look forward to returning - hopefully very soon - with a group from our family. (We have 9 siblings plus their spouses. 28 nieces and nephews, 26 great nieces and nephews!). Yours is a very family-friendly resort indeed.

Access to the hills and lifts - even during Spring Break was very easy. The addition of the Silverwoods runs and lift proved to be a wonderful area in which to ski. The town was fun and it's obvious that it is going to evolve beautifully in years to come. My sister-in-law took a few lessons and found the instructors to be extremely proficient and helpful.

One comment may be that the Grandview should be advertised as ski-out, but not ski-in. This was not an issue for my husband and I. We just removed our skis and walked home. However, my brother has had heart problems, and this proved difficult for him, so his option was to ski to town and take the shuttle home. It may be a better way to promote the condo? Also - a hint may be that there could be a shuttle available from the restaurants back to the condos in the evening? Again, walking under the full moon in the crisp air was wonderful for my husband and I, but my brother suffered during that unexpected walk home on Monday evening after dinner.

When we did ask the Guest Services the next day about arrangements that could be made for a shuttle (not necessarily courtesy) after dinner when the regular shuttle is not available, I wish I'd taken the lady's name that was so very helpful! She called back after checking, and let us know a staff member could be available to drive us home after dinner. This woman had tried repeatedly to reach us during the day when we were out of the condo skiing. She then called in the early evening from her home! to let us know she could arrange a drive if necessary...As it turned out, we arranged pizza delivery for dinner that night...and that was just fine, but we so very grateful for the attitude and effort of this special Guest Services rep. I do apologize for not taking her name.

Overall you must be congratulated on having the finest staff of any resort we've stayed. (We stayed at Big White earlier in the week, and it's true that they too have this calibre of staff...understanding it is under the same ownership). This would include the Putnam central check-in staff, the shuttle drivers (on the mountain and to/from the airport), the restaurant/bar staff all around the village, the shopkeepers, instructors, the housekeeper and maintenance staff - and all throughout the resort. There was never hesitation over any type of service or information requested. The first inclination was always very positive, friendly and helpful. It made us realize how we've settled for so much less in our daily lives here in Toronto! You and your staff are models!

Thanks to everyone at Silver Star for making this vacation a very special and memorable one for me and my family.

Silver Star Grooming
February 20th, 2006
I toured a group from Vancouver on Saturday February 18th. They were led by "Dan" Gasic who was the Yugoslavian alpine coach at the time of the Sarajevo Olympics. At those Games he also had overall responsibility for the condition of snow grooming for the alpine events.

He was very impressed with Silver Star in general and ecstatic about the quality of the grooming on all terrain. "It is not only good," he said, "in fact, I have never seen anything better anywhere. Even Whistler isn't as good."

Terrific Holiday
January 2nd, 2006
Your staff has made a terrific holiday for our family. This was our first ski vacation. The accommodation, ski schools, ski rentals all turned out as expected. What impressed my wife and I was the friendliness of all staff and their willingness to help out or offer advice. The mountain had a nice community feel. We will return and we will recommend Silver Star to friends. Thank you very much.
