Filling the Gap - Feeding Local Families in Need
Filling the Gap helps to feed those who have been financially affected as a result of being negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This program allows families, seniors and individuals to have access to groceries and produce when times are tough. Funds raised provide families, seniors and individuals with a locally made Good Food Box filled with nourishing groceries, such as fruits and vegetables.
A $25 donation feeds a family of three and $15 feeds an individual or senior.
SilverStar Mountain Resort, in partnership with the Community Foundation of the North Okanagan, supports this incredible community initiative through our Play It Forward fund.

Pledge a bid to own a part of history, with all proceeds going to feeding local families in need! Email in your bid to [email protected] . Bids close April 5th, 3pm.
Bids will be accepted via email to [email protected]. For bids to be valid email must contain bidders full name, contact number and bidding amount. Current bid amount will be updated often below, during business hours (please be aware of update timestamp and that additional bids may have been placed since the last update).
Bidding submissions will close April 5th at 3pm, with the highest valid bid submitted before this time taking home the prize

Feeding Families community initiative We challenge you to donate
After an overwhelming response to SilverStar's Play it Forward initiative in February, the mountain is challenging other local businesses to donate to help feed local families in need this spring.
- SilverStar's Play It Forward fund will continue to match community donations to $10,000.
- The Paul Docksteader Foundation has also pledged to match donations to $10,000.
